Today, I am pleased to have been able to work with charcoal pencils in my Introduction to Art class. Most everyone were drawing their hands, but I went ahead and, with a reference of my dog, worked on his portrait. I received many good comments — I am indeed quite pleased!
The reference cut off the top of his head and most of his ear, so I had to invent those as I went along.

Introduction
Hello, my name is Julia. I am a freshman in high school and my life revolves around my art, writing/role-playing, and rowing. Here, I will post opinions, rants, updates, art, writing, my pets, and so on and so forth. I will most likely not update this blog too much, but we will see over time how much I really use it.
I honestly do not know how to work this site. Simple commands and tasks should not have to be so difficult to use on this site... I also have "family safety" so a few things will be blocked here and there, like an obstacles. Things I cannot do on the computer will probably be done on my iPad (which I use most of the time anyways, which should be just fine).
>> ART
For computer art, I draw with this here tablet, a Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet.
Basic compared to others, but does its job!
For iPad art, I use the "MyBrushes Pro" app and, well... my finger.
For traditional art, I will sketch with pens and pencils and draw with oil pastels and watercolor pencils.
>> WRITING
I am a bit negative with my art, but even more so my writing. It's just all awful! Usually, I role-play with people on the Internet. I always get hooked on the stories and characters we build together! If you are interested in a thoughtful role-play, I am always open to it.
>> PETS
Dear Lord, my enthusiasm about my pets and cuddling them is unbelievable, though they deserve much more attention from me. I have a yellow English Labrador retriever named Quincy and a honey bear hamster named Arturo (or Arthur, though he goes by Artie, Arturo, Turo, Mr. Turo, Hammy, and Hamlet).
>> ROWING
I am a member of my school's crew team. This sport is about dedication, and takes up much of your life. Usually, I row two seat, port side. I am not the strongest person at all, but this sport has benefited me while it has also depressed me (my last regatta did not go too well, at all).
